Bodycam Reveals Maricopa Mom’s Instant Regret After Calling Cops on Son She Chased with Knife

A YouTube channel known for its body camera footage recently released alarming images of an arrest in Maricopa. The incident involved 56-year-old Gloria Cobbs, who allegedly disciplined her son with a baseball bat and threatened him with a knife after he failed to do his chores.

This July arrest attracted renewed attention when the channel, Explore With Us, posted the footage on Mother’s Day, a controversial choice. Cobbs’ actions were already highlighted in InMaricopa’s list of the top seven bizarre reasons for threats from the previous year.

With nearly 9.8 million subscribers, Explore With Us launched a new video titled “Mom Calls Cops on Teen Son, Instantly Regrets It,” which quickly amassed over half a million views within a day.

The Maricopa Police Department responded to a distress call from Cobbs, who reportedly expressed a desire for her son to be removed from her home. During the call, she told Sgt. Michael Straub that her son deserved to die for his failure to perform household tasks.

Footage reveals her son calling the police, stating that Cobbs was pursuing him with a knife. The conversation with officers that followed showed the tense dynamic between mother and son.

Cobbs was ultimately arrested and found guilty of disorderly conduct. She received an 18-month sentence of supervised probation.

This is not the first time Explore With Us has showcased serious incidents involving the Maricopa Police Department. They previously aired the case of a YouTube mom who abused her seven adopted children, drawing millions of views as well.
