Biggs Urges FBI to Probe Democrats’ Primary Fundraising Amid Serious Allegations

Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs has called on FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate ActBlue, the primary fundraising platform for the Democratic Party. This request arises amid allegations that ActBlue has circumvented federal campaign finance laws.
In a letter covered by Fox News, Biggs urged the FBI to initiate an inquiry into ActBlue, highlighting that the platform has raised over $16 billion for progressive causes since its inception in 2004. He referenced a 2024 investigation by the Biden Treasury Department, reported by The Washington Times, which found numerous suspicious transactions associated with ActBlue, noting a lack of cooperation from the White House in disclosing essential documents.
The House Oversight Committee expressed frustration, asserting in a letter to the Treasury Department that its investigation has faced obstruction from the Biden administration. Representatives Bryan Steil (R-WI), James Comer (R-KY), and Nick Langworthy (R-NY) criticized ActBlue for its lax security measures, claiming it failed to implement basic safeguards against identity theft and fraud.
ActBlue’s practices have drawn scrutiny from nineteen state Attorneys General. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton recently opened an investigation, reporting a concerning number of fraudulent donations allegedly made under false identities. Paxton has called on the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) to address vulnerabilities that could enable illegal or foreign contributions to influence American elections.
Biggs also noted ongoing legal challenges against ActBlue, including a lawsuit alleging racketeering in Wisconsin. In addition, an undercover investigation by the O’Keefe Media Group revealed troubling reactions from supposed ActBlue donors unaware of numerous transactions attributed to them.
Elon Musk added to the dialogue, stating that five ActBlue-funded groups were linked to protests against Tesla, identifying prominent funders such as George Soros and Reid Hoffman. Musk highlighted that ActBlue is under investigation for alleged violations of campaign finance laws, with recent departures of seven senior officials further complicating the platform’s situation.
Amid these developments, ActBlue spokesperson Megan Hughes characterized the resignations as part of a necessary transition within the organization, emphasizing their commitment to empowering grassroots supporters as they navigate the upcoming election cycle.
