Below-Average Highs Set to Close Out the Workweek and Welcome the Weekend
Triple digits will return to Arizona by the weekend, coinciding with the official start of fall.
In Phoenix, daytime temperatures are currently below average as a low-pressure system brings breezy conditions to the area on Friday. This low-pressure system may lead to isolated showers and storms in northern and western Arizona overnight. However, widespread rainfall is not expected, and the Valley is likely to remain dry throughout the weekend.
As the weekend progresses, the climate will shift, and temperatures in the lower deserts are anticipated to climb to around 100 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday. Early next week could see highs reaching approximately 104 degrees.
The upcoming seven-day forecast predicts the following:
FRIDAY: 96°F high, 72°F low, mostly sunny and breezy.
SUNDAY: 100°F high, 73°F low, sunny skies, warmer weather.
MONDAY: 103°F high, 76°F low, sunny skies.
TUESDAY: 104°F high, 77°F low, continued sunny weather.
WEDNESDAY: 103°F high, 77°F low, sunny.
THURSDAY: 104°F high, 78°F low, sunny.
