Northrop became a household name as Roman Brady and Dr. Alex North on “Days of Our Lives.” His tenure on the long-running soap opera spanned over 1,000 episodes from 1981 to 2006, establishing him as a vital part of the show’s legacy, according to IMDb.

His career took off in the late 1970s, culminating in a significant role as Michael Culhane in “Dynasty,” where he appeared in 35 episodes from 1981 to 1987. The depth of his talent resonated with viewers and peers alike.
