BASE Arizona Secures $12,500 Grant from Arizona Financial Services for Local Initiatives
Phoenix, AZ — December 10, 2024 — BASE Arizona has been awarded the Arizona Financial Services Local Causes Grant, receiving a total of $12,500 during a ceremony at the Social Television Network. This includes a surprise additional funding of $2,500. The organization’s Founder & Executive Director, Keasha Beach, accepted the grant, highlighting its role in supporting the community’s development.
In her acceptance speech, Beach expressed gratitude towards Arizona Financial for their investment in addressing systemic inequities. “This grant represents a vital investment in the future of our community,” she stated. “We are deeply grateful to Arizona Financial for their commitment to addressing systemic inequities and fostering opportunities for growth.”
BASE Arizona is dedicated to the empowerment of individuals and families through three core pillars: Education, Cultural Enrichment, and Economic Development. The organization aims to address systemic inequities and cultivate future leaders.

One flagship initiative, Afro Scouts, is designed to inspire youth leadership and embrace cultural heritage. Through engaging activities, Afro Scouts empowers young participants to take pride in their backgrounds and promotes community leadership. Beach emphasized the program’s significance, stating, “Afro Scouts is about creating a future where young leaders are confident in their identities and motivated to drive change. This grant will allow us to expand our reach and deepen the impact of this transformative program.”
Another key program, BASE Worx, aids aspiring entrepreneurs by offering essential resources and guidance for building sustainable businesses. Focused on strategic planning, operational efficiency, and financial literacy, BASE Worx empowers participants to transform their business ideas into successful ventures.
