Barro’s Pizza Set to Make a Comeback on May 30

Barro’s Pizza is set to relocate to a new site near Fry’s Marketplace on May 30. This transition marks the end of its current location, which has served the Maricopa community for several years.
The new establishment, situated at 21101 N. John Wayne Parkway, Suite E102, has recently unveiled its permanent signage. The previous occupant was a Pizza Hut, which vacated earlier this year.
In a strategic move, Barro’s will benefit from a larger kitchen, a compact indoor dining area, and an inviting outdoor patio. General Manager Mike Hull indicated that these changes should enhance the overall dining experience.
“Relocating often brings increased business,” Hull remarked. Although he initially anticipated a March opening, extensive renovations delayed the timeline.
The complete renovation of the new location involved significant structural changes. Hull noted, “They ripped everything out. It’s gutted, and they’re putting everything back together now.”
This relocation is a notable change for Barro’s, which last expanded into the former Radio Shack space in 2014. Since opening its doors on Smith-Enke Road in 2007, this will be the first major operational shift.
“The vibe we had going on here is gonna be changed,” Hull expressed. With renovations progressing, he is optimistic about a smooth opening within the next few weeks.
Barro’s current location is expected to close by May 28, paving the way for the much-anticipated opening of the new site. Hull affirmed, “They’re really pushing to get us in there before the end of the month.”
