Avondale police looking for endangered missing teen


AVONDALE, Ariz. — The Avondale Police Department is actively searching for a missing endangered teen. Destiny Jasmine Renee Bateman, 16, was last seen at her home near Buckeye and El Mirage roads around 1 a.m. on November 3.

Authorities believe Bateman left with 29-year-old Isaac Martin, who may be her boyfriend. Police received a concerning message from Bateman’s family, indicating she sent a text at approximately 8:50 a.m. stating she was en route to New Mexico and close to the state border.

According to the police report, Bateman is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes. When last seen, she wore a black hat with “street life” inscribed on it, a black hoodie-style sweater, and grey pajama pants featuring a teddy bear print.

Isaac Martin is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 235 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. The vehicle associated with him is a silver 2016 Buick Encore with Arizona license plate BEA0TX.

Investigators are urging anyone with information about Bateman’s whereabouts to reach out to the Avondale Police Department at 623-333-7001. Time is critical in locating her safely.
