Missing and endangered Peoria teen was last seen Monday, authorities say

Family and friends of 14-year-old Landon Peru gathered at a park in Peoria, Arizona, on Wednesday evening, as volunteers attempted to locate the missing boy. Reports indicate that Landon was last seen on March 24 at Desert Harbor Elementary School around 3 p.m., after which he failed to return home.

The Peoria Police Department has classified him as endangered. His mother, Mari Peru, expressed her concerns about Landon, stating that recent family changes, including a divorce and her battle with breast cancer, could have impacted his well-being. “It was very hard for him, and he’s been going through a lot,” she noted.

Mari described Landon as not typically the sort to go missing, mentioning that this behavior is ‘unlike him.’ Through tears, she reached out directly to her son, urging him to return home. “Landon, please, if you’re seeing this, you’re not in trouble. Just please come home. I promise you’re not in trouble. I just want you to be okay,” she pleaded.

Landon is described as 5’7″ tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray crewneck sweater and baggy black pants. Anyone with information about Landon is urged to contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8311.
