AT&T Claims to Have Fixed Software Glitch Behind Service Outages
Some AT&T customers experienced significant service disruptions on Tuesday, a situation attributed to a software issue.
According to a spokesperson for the telecommunications company, the problem has since been resolved. The outage, which left numerous users without service for hours, prompted widespread complaints about the company’s response. Many took to social media to express their frustration.
One user tweeted, “Why do I have to go to Twitter to find out @ATT is having a NATIONAL outage? At least put something on the damn website,” illustrating the dissatisfaction with AT&T’s communication efforts.
Another user remarked sarcastically, “AT&T is trying to pull a Jedi mind trick. Our phones aren’t working… their response is ‘There are no outages.’ It’s been hours; at least I have the decency to acknowledge the problem,” further highlighting the confusion surrounding the situation.
In a statement to 12News, AT&T acknowledged the disruption that affected a limited number of customers, apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking users for their patience. However, the company did not disclose the exact number of customers impacted by the service outage.
