ASU Professor Charged in Shocking Scottsdale Murder Case of His Wife
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Tragedy struck Saturday evening when a woman was fatally shot by her husband in Scottsdale, Arizona. The suspect has been identified as David Zhu by the Scottsdale Police Department.
David Zhu holds a position as a professor at Arizona State University in the W.P. Carey School of Business, specifically in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. Following the incident, ASU expressed condolences to those impacted by the tragedy.
The police responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of 136th Street and Shea Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities confirmed that a second woman and a child were present in the home during the shooting. Their identities have not been revealed. David Zhu was taken into custody at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Officials have assured the community that there is no ongoing threat.
