Beginning in October, the Phoenix Art Museum will extend its hours to better serve audiences balancing school and work commitments. This change comes in response to visitor feedback and aligns with the museum’s strategic plan for 2024-2030. Notably, October also heralds the return of First Fridays, set to kick off on Oct. 4.

Starting Oct. 2, the museum will adopt new hours: closed on Monday and Tuesday, and open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday hours remain from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A special initiative on the first Friday of each month will permit general admission by voluntary donation from 5 to 8 p.m. during which visitors can also enjoy discounted rates for special-engagement exhibitions. Activities during First Friday will feature a resident DJ, a cash bar, and various art-making opportunities. Similarly, Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays will continue, now running from 3 to 8 p.m., offering visitors an affordable way to access the museum’s offerings.

The Phoenix Art Museum is located at 1625 N. Central Ave. For more information, interested parties can call 602-257-1880 or visit www.phxart.org.
