Armed Man from Rancho Mirage Faces Protective Custody Following Threats
Maricopa Police Department apprehended a man on Saturday night after he made threats of suicide in Rancho Mirage.
Officers arrived at a residence on West La Paz Street around 8:30 p.m. in response to reports of a domestic incident, according to spokesperson Quinn Konold. The individual, armed with a handgun, was taken into protective custody without incident.
Following the arrest, MPD spokesperson Monica Williams stated, “He was transported to an appropriate facility for medical evaluation and treatment.”
