Arizona Woman’s Mysterious Disappearance: Boyfriend and Property Owner Charged
YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — Murder charges have been filed against Cavett Richards and William DalCerro in connection with the disappearance of Shayna Feinman, a 35-year-old woman missing since March 2024.
Feinman was last seen after failing to retrieve her dog from a neighbor’s home. Authorities discovered her vehicle near the residence where she lived with Richards in the Hyde Park area, situated between Peach Springs and Seligman.
Her sister, Kara Feinman, shares that Shayna, originally from New York, relocated to Arizona for a more tranquil lifestyle centered on nature. However, tensions surfaced, as Kara revealed her sister had an argument with the property owner prior to her disappearance and expressed fears for her safety in conversations with close friends.
Despite the ongoing investigation, both men reportedly did not cooperate with law enforcement. Kara Feinman voiced her frustration, “If you’re one of the last people to see her, wouldn’t you want to help find her?”
As of now, Feinman’s body has not been recovered, but law enforcement has gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with the murder charges against Richards, her boyfriend, for second-degree murder, conspiracy, and concealing a dead body.
DalCerro, aged 58 and the property owner, also faces charges related to his involvement in the case. The charges were formally filed on August 28 in Yavapai County, where both suspects made their court appearance this week.
Furthermore, Richards and DalCerro are under suspicion for other offenses, including evidence tampering and possession of a stolen vehicle. Court documents indicate DalCerro was previously charged with possessing stolen vehicles and illegal firearms, despite being a prohibited possessor.
In April, just weeks into the investigation, he had been arrested for his prior offenses, including unlawful use of transportation. Richards was also charged with vehicle theft around the same time.
As authorities continue the search for Shayna Feinman, anyone with information regarding suspicious activities in the desert or forest areas of West-central Arizona is urged to contact Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260.
