Arizona Pig Rescue Urgently Seeks Funds for Lifesaving AC Unit
Better Piggies Rescue’s AC unit died on Sunday and needs the public’s help.
PHOENIX — Better Piggies Rescue urgently needs $10,000 to replace their air conditioning unit, which failed on Sunday.
After several temporary repairs, the aging system has finally broken down. This has left the sanctuary struggling to maintain a safe environment for their 180 pigs and three cows. The facility’s greatest concern is for non-mobile pigs who cannot be outside in the summer heat.
Founded nearly a decade ago, Better Piggies Rescue started when owner Danielle Betterman saved six pot belly pigs. Since then, the organization has grown, continuing to rehabilitate pot belly pigs and farm hogs. Donations to support this critical need can be made on their website.
