Arizona Pedophile Nabbed for Threatening Trump with Assassination

By Staff Reporter |
A man has been arrested for making threats to assassinate Donald Trump during the presidential candidate’s visit to Arizona on Thursday. Ronald Lee Syvrud, 66, was taken into custody following an emergency broadcast about his alleged threats, which included multiple active warrants against him for offenses such as failing to register as a sex offender and DUI.
Syvrud’s notoriety traces back over two decades to his inclusion on Wisconsin’s sex offender registry for child sexual assault. His recent actions involved a series of posts on social media under the alias “Rudy Lee,” where he indicated intentions to shoot Trump during his visit to Cochise County.
The Post Millennial uncovered Syvrud’s alarming posts, including one that detailed his plans to attack Trump near a local bar, claiming to have acquired a scope for his revolver. While Syvrud’s Facebook profile has since been removed, the threats he issued raised significant alarm from authorities.
In a chilling post, Syvrud commented on a previous assassination attempt against Trump, expressing disappointment over the shooter missing his target. “I give the shooter an A- for effort. Would have gotten an A+ if he succeeded,” he remarked, highlighting a troubling fascination with violence.
Cochise County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) swiftly responded to the threats. Following a public appeal for information on Syvrud’s whereabouts, he was located within hours. CCSO described the coordinated effort to apprehend him as part of a larger operational plan for Trump’s visit, noting the crucial intelligence that led to his capture.
Authorities conducted a felony stop around 2:30 PM, shortly after observing Syvrud outside a community location. The incident concluded without further escalation or violence.
During his visit to Cochise County, Trump held a press conference at the border, claiming he was not made aware of any assassination threats before his arrival. This marks a tense period for the presidential candidate, as security measures have escalated following recent violent threats.
As the investigation develops, Syvrud’s motivations and the ramifications of such hostile rhetoric remain critical points of concern for law enforcement and political observers alike.
