Arizona High School Football Player’s ‘Sweet Play’ Paves Path to Scholarship

PHOENIX — The countdown to the 35th season of Arizona’s premier high school football show, Friday Night Fever, has officially begun.
With the arrival of the new season comes an exciting addition to the program. Fans will play a vital role in a segment that will culminate in a significant award for one standout player at the year’s end.
The segment, now rebranded as Sweet Plays, introduces a fresh format previously known as ‘Hot Shots.’ This year’s twist raises the stakes as viewers can vote online for the best plays showcased each week on Friday Night Fever.
Each Friday, the 12Sports team will highlight three top performances, inviting fans to cast their votes at 12News.com for their favorite, thereby determining the Sweet Play of the Week.
The excitement doesn’t end there— each week’s winner will compete for the title of Sweet Play of the Year, with the ultimate victor receiving a $5,000 scholarship, generously sponsored by Sweet James Accident Attorneys.
