Another Water Shop Seeks to Make a Splash

Maricopa is set to welcome its first direct competitor to Maricopa Water & Ice, as 7 Plus Water and Alkaline plans to open a new location less than a mile away. Recent filings with the City of Maricopa reveal that the Mesa-based retailer intends to occupy a 1,265-square-foot suite at Edison Pointe, as per public records accessed by InMaricopa.

This upcoming store will be the 17th for 7 Plus, which operates across metropolitan areas in Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, and Dallas. The company’s website now lists this new site, further indicating its commitment to expanding its footprint.

Permits for commercial improvements, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and signage under 100 square feet were granted for Suite 110 back in February. Currently, the space remains vacant, indicated by scattered construction supplies.

7 Plus Water and Alkaline features a variety of offerings including alkaline and reverse osmosis water, alongside dispensers and bottle stands. Selected locations also serve Thrifty or Blue Bunny ice cream, adding to their appeal.

Presently, the nearest existing outlets are located on Arizona Avenue near Ray Road in Chandler and Trekell Road near Cottonwood Lane, which connects to the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.
