Another suspect in the murder of Queen Creek teen posts bond, released with electronic monitoring

Other teen suspects in the case have also been released with electronic monitoring, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A major development has emerged in the murder case of a Queen Creek teenager. One of the teen suspects posted bond and was released under electronic monitoring, officials confirmed on Saturday.

Treston Billey, identified as one of seven teens involved in the killing of 16-year-old Preston Lord in October 2023, secured his bail on August 3, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Billey’s release comes with the condition of electronic monitoring. Similarly, fellow suspects Taylor Sherman and Talyn Vigil were also released under electronic surveillance earlier this year.

The case has drawn significant attention, as Preston Lord’s death was ruled a homicide after he succumbed to injuries sustained at a Halloween party assault. The tragic incident occurred two days prior to his death.

All seven suspects, including Billey, Sherman, Vigil, William Owen Hines, Dominic Turner, and Jacob Meisner, have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
