Anne Burrell Bids Farewell in July: Catch the Last Season of ‘Worst Cooks in America’

Anne Burrell’s notable presence on the Food Network will soon be commemorated. The network confirmed that she will make her final appearance on “Worst Cooks in America” in late July.
The new season kicks off on July 28, featuring a collaboration with Chef Gabe Bertaccini. Together, they will guide contestants in transforming culinary novices into kitchen adept individuals.
Airing at 9 p.m. ET, the latest episodes will also be available for streaming on HBO Max the following day. Additionally, a special tribute will be broadcast on Wednesday, showcasing selected encore episodes highlighting Burrell’s exceptional skills and contributions to the culinary world.
“Anne Burrell was a one-of-a-kind talent whose loss is being deeply felt by family, friends, and fans,” stated Betsey Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery. “These programming events aim to honor Anne, celebrating her impact on Food Network and offering fans a way to remember her passion and culinary expertise.”
Burrell tragically passed away on June 17. Authorities found her “unconscious and unresponsive” at her Brooklyn residence. The cause of her death remains under investigation, with reports suggesting potential cardiac arrest as a factor. A 911 call from that morning indicated concerns about her condition.
Known for her iconic platinum spiky hair and contagious laughter, Burrell was a beloved figure within the culinary community, frequently judging popular competitive shows like “Chopped.” Her legacy as both a chef and a mentor will undoubtedly endure.
