American Legion Post 34 to host annual rummage sale to benefit veterans

The American Legion Post 34 Auxiliary is gearing up for its highly anticipated rummage sale, slated for Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 8 AM to 3 PM. This event promises a vast array of items, including clothing, household goods, furniture, art, collectibles, and more. It stands out as one of the largest rummage sales in the Valley of the Sun.

For those looking to contribute, donations will be accepted starting January 6 through January 18, 2024. The designated drop-off schedule is as follows:
Mondays: January 6 and 13, 10 AM – 2 PM
Wednesdays: January 8 and 15, 10 AM – 2 PM
Saturdays: January 11 and 18, 10 AM – 2 PM. Donations can be made at the back parking lot of Post 34, where a clearly marked pop-up tent will guide contributors.

Individuals with larger items such as furniture should contact Mark Leinen at 608.797.5415 to make special arrangements. Notably, all proceeds from the sale go directly to supporting veterans.

However, not all items will be accepted. The auxiliary is unable to take armoires, box springs, mattresses, ceiling fans, large appliances, TVs, computers, printers, used stereo components, light fixtures, bed pillows, and mattress pads.

Located at 6272 E. Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek, Arizona, American Legion Post 34 has a rich history since its establishment in 1919. The organization serves veterans, active military personnel, and their families, promoting patriotism and responsible citizenship as a 501 (c)(19) entity.
