Amazon Prime Day 2025: Mark Your Calendars for the Ultimate Shopping Event!

Amazon’s Prime Day is set to take a new form, expanding to four days of extensive discounts for the first time in its 11-year history. The much-anticipated shopping event will run from July 8 through July 11, allowing Prime members additional time to explore a vast array of deals across over 35 categories.
In the past, Prime Day has typically spanned two days, making this year’s extension notable. The sale begins at 12:01 a.m. PDT on July 8, equivalent to 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time.
While Amazon does not release specific revenue figures for Prime Day, past reports indicate significant consumer spending. In 2024, shoppers spent $14.2 billion during the event, marking an 11% increase from 2023, according to Adobe Analytics.
This summer’s event coincides with the start of the back-to-school shopping season. Historically, competitors such as Walmart and Target have aligned their sales events with Prime Day, although no announcements have been made yet for this year.
New features for the 2025 Prime Day include “Today’s Big Deals,” which will introduce themed daily drops from popular brands like Samsung, Kiehl’s, and Levi’s, starting each day at midnight Pacific. These deals will be available for a limited time, while supplies last.
Additionally, Amazon plans to introduce frequent deal drops, occurring as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event.
Consumers can expect discounts on a variety of well-known brands such as Sony, Dyson, Living Proof, and Tarte Cosmetics during this extended sale.
Although the official sales event is weeks away, early deals on specific Amazon devices and products from small businesses are already accessible to Prime members.
Moreover, Prime members are offered a unique fuel discount for the Fourth of July weekend, with $1 off per gallon on single purchases of up to 35 gallons at select gas stations.
To participate in the Prime Day deals, customers must possess a Prime membership, priced at $14.99 monthly or $139 annually. A free 30-day trial is also available for new members.
