Alterra Woman Charged in Shocking Child Strangulation Case in Homestead

Maricopa police have filed charges against Jade Alexandra Davis, a 29-year-old resident of Alterra, for allegedly strangling a child. The incident reportedly occurred last year, but details have surfaced following the child’s disclosure to a counselor on December 16.
The child described how Davis assaulted them while sitting on a kitchen counter at a home on Novak Lane. Authorities have not disclosed the child’s age, sex, or relationship to Davis. However, they noted the presence of bruises on the left side and back of the child’s neck, which align with signs of strangulation.
Davis reportedly acknowledged her violent actions, claiming she lost control after repeatedly instructing the child to get down from the counter. In response to the findings, police have submitted felony aggravated assault charges to the prosecutors, placing Davis at risk of facing up to four years in prison.
