Alleged Havasu Drug Dealer Sentenced to 5 Years After Plea Bargain

An alleged drug dealer from Lake Havasu City was sentenced to five years in prison on Thursday following a plea agreement at the Mohave County Law and Justice Center in Kingman. James Krantz, 46, received this mandated sentence from Judge Billy Sipe.
The case stemmed from an investigation into illegal drug sales in the community, leading to a traffic stop on September 19. Krantz was driving in the 2100 block of McCulloch Boulevard when officers conducted the stop.
According to Deputy Mohave County Attorney Rod Albright, a K-9 unit responded during the traffic stop and alerted officials, prompting a search of the vehicle. Officers discovered approximately 11,000 fentanyl pills concealed in a glass jar under the driver’s seat.
Judge Sipe emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, “This involves a very large amount of fentanyl pills.” Krantz ultimately faced possession of narcotic drugs for sale, while charges related to methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
