Aerosmith will not resume 'Peace Out' tour, announces official retirement from the touring stage

The legendary rock ‘n’ roll band Aerosmith announced Friday that they are retiring from touring. The decision comes after iconic frontman Steven Tyler sustained a vocal cord injury last year.

The band, known for hits like “Dream On,” “Walk This Way,” and “Sweet Emotion,” began its “Peace Out” farewell tour last September. However, the tour was soon postponed due to Tyler’s injury.

“We’ve always aimed to captivate our audience. Steven’s voice, an unmatched instrument, has struggled despite extensive rehabilitation efforts,” Aerosmith shared on social media. “After consulting with top medical professionals, it is evident that a full recovery is unattainable. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cease touring,” the statement continued.

Aerosmith’s journey began in 1970, gaining an ardent fanbase known as the “Blue Army.” Their music has left an indelible mark on rock history.

The band expressed immense gratitude towards their fans, crew, and everyone involved. “We appreciate the unwavering support of our fans. You made our dreams a reality. Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On,” the band declared.

For those who purchased tickets to the remaining dates of the “Peace Out” tour, refunds will be available through Ticketmaster. Tickets acquired via third-party resellers like StubHub or SeatGeek will be refunded at the point of purchase.
