Accused 347 Road Rage Shooter Enlists High-Profile DUI Attorney in Bid to Avoid Decades Behind Bars

Randolph John Rose Jr., 41, was scheduled for arraignment on May 2 in a courtroom in Florence, where he was expected to plead not guilty to several felony charges related to a road rage incident. However, the hearing was postponed to allow Rose to collaborate with his newly contracted attorney, Craig Rosenstein, based in Scottsdale.
Rosenstein comes highly regarded in the legal field, specializing in DUI and criminal defense. He holds the distinction of being a Board Certified DUI Defense Specialist, recognized by the National College for DUI Defense. His accolades include being named a Super Lawyer in DUI Defense from 2012 to 2023.
During the hearing, Rosenstein declined to comment on Rose’s case. The prosecution has yet to offer a plea agreement, and a pre-trial conference is set for June 2 in Florence.
Rose, who resides in the Senita neighborhood of Maricopa, is accused of shooting at another driver during a pre-dawn road rage incident on April 23. The altercation occurred at 3:47 a.m. on State Route 347, just south of Cement Plant Road, following an alleged obscene gesture from the other driver, Joseph Mailloux. A bullet struck Mailloux in the hand, and both drivers remained on the scene for police questioning.
A resident at the address listed for Mailloux stated that no one by that name lives there and declined further comment. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Rose reportedly fired the weapon from his passenger-side window. The investigation saw cooperation from both Maricopa and Gila River Police Departments.
Rose has been booked into the Pinal County jail facing multiple charges. If found guilty on all counts, he faces a potential sentence of 20 years in prison.
