Another good year

Cave Creek, AZ – As 2024 draws to a close, the town of Cave Creek reflects on a year marked by financial stability and community enhancements. Key initiatives have been launched, including the upgrade of local streets, the advancement of water resource management, and the construction of a new fire station, all achieved without imposing additional taxes or bonds.

The upcoming State of the Town address, scheduled for January 29, 2025, at the Desert Foothills Library, promises to shed light on these achievements and future projects. Residents are encouraged to attend for an overview of the town’s progress and upcoming plans.

Periodic presentations, such as this address and biannual business forums, foster direct communication between the community and its elected officials. Residents are urged to keep an eye on the Cave Creek Prospector and the town’s online platforms for updates on forthcoming meetings.

The town’s staff, aligned with the Town Council’s Strategic Plan, have made significant strides toward developing a robust framework for local projects. Recent efforts include updating the Town Core Plan, aimed at smart development of the business district, along with improvements at the Cave Creek Memorial Arena and Rodeo Grounds, and plans to rebuild the Skybox in collaboration with Cave Creek Rodeo.

Cognizant of the importance of water resources, the Utility Services Department has made progress in water storage and management. Notably, Cave Creek reached a milestone by securing a year’s worth of long-term storage credits, equating to its annual water demands. Additionally, partnerships with the City of Phoenix are underway to ensure consistent water supply reliability.

Reflecting on the year’s successes, Mayor Robert Morris expressed optimism for 2025, reaffirming the commitment to meet community needs while preserving the unique lifestyle that defines Cave Creek.

On behalf of the Town Council and staff, Mayor Morris wishes the community a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
