Phoenix Police Hunt for Suspects Who Fired on Officers in Disturbing Incident

Phoenix police are currently engaged in a significant search operation for suspects involved in a shooting incident targeting officers on Monday night.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., officers observed two vehicles speeding near Central Avenue and Thomas Road. An attempt to pull over one of the cars led to an alarming escalation when an individual inside fired multiple shots at the officers. Fortunately, neither the officers nor their vehicle sustained any injuries.

The vehicle continued for some distance before stopping near Second Street and Catalina Drive. Witnesses reported seeing multiple individuals exit the car, fleeing the scene. Police have since initiated a comprehensive search in the vicinity to locate the suspects.

As of now, one suspect has been apprehended, but authorities believe there may be more individuals involved who remain at large.
