Teens commit armed robbery of another teen, Phoenix police say


Three suspects were detained following the alleged armed robbery on Saturday evening, police say.

PHOENIX — Three teenagers have been apprehended in connection with an alleged armed robbery in west Phoenix. The incident took place on Saturday night, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Authorities were dispatched to the area near Thomas Road and 75th Avenue around 5 p.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers determined that multiple armed suspects had robbed a teenage boy.

The victim provided descriptions of both the suspects and their vehicle.

Police soon located the suspect vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. After engaging in a brief pursuit and surveillance, authorities successfully tracked and found the vehicle.

The suspects attempted to flee on foot but were soon apprehended. All three suspects, who are teenage boys, were arrested and are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery. Police recovered at least one firearm during the arrests.
