Early on Thursday morning, a fatal crash occurred on Interstate 17 near Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. Department of Public Safety officials have confirmed that a driver lost their life after colliding with the concrete median barrier at high speed.

The incident resulted in a temporary closure of the southbound lanes, which were reopened shortly thereafter. The identity of the deceased driver has not been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
