'It's about the worst day of my life': Shoppers in Scottsdale Albertsons hide, call 911 after shots were fired inside store


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Two men are in critical condition following a shooting incident inside an Albertsons store in Scottsdale, police report.

Scottsdale Police Department’s Public Information Officer, Aaron Bolin, stated that an altercation between two groups near Scottsdale and Thomas roads escalated to gunfire, resulting in two men being critically injured.

Responding to multiple 911 calls from shoppers hiding in the store, authorities initially approached the situation as a potential active shooter scenario. However, Officer Bolin clarified, “We responded as if this could’ve been an active shooter but we have no indication that that was the case.”

Currently, a third man, believed to be involved in the altercation, is being interviewed by the Scottsdale police.
