PHOENIX — Four people have been hospitalized, two of them in critical condition, after a crash in the West Valley, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The department told 12News that firefighters were called at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Bell Road.

One person had to be extricated from a car and a total of four people were hospitalized. Two men were taken to the hospital in critical condition and a man and woman were taken to the hospital with less serious injuries after being treated at the scene.

Phoenix police are now investigating the crash.

No other details have been released.
