Simone Biles and Suni Lee: Upcoming Olympic Showdown Dates Revealed
Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Suni Lee can still earn more Olympic medals before they leave Paris.
PARIS, France — Simone Biles has clinched three gold medals at the Paris Olympics so far. She, along with several members of the United States women’s gymnastics team, has more chances to increase their medal tally before returning home.
On the final day of the gymnastics competition at the Summer Games, Biles, Chiles, and Lee are set to compete in two more events. To make it to the individual finals, gymnasts must have been among the top eight on that apparatus during the team qualification round.
Hezly Rivera, the youngest member of the gold medal-winning team, didn’t qualify for any individual finals.
When is Simone Biles competing next?
Biles, the most decorated gymnast globally, qualified for every individual final except for the uneven bars.
Monday, Aug. 5 – Women’s balance beam final (6:36 a.m. ET)

Biles narrowly missed the uneven bars final by less than two-tenths of a point, positioning her as a “reserve athlete” for the event.

Will this be Simone Biles’ last Olympics?
Biles has remained tight-lipped about her future plans, focusing instead on the post-Olympic tour she will headline. She is also married and has expressed concerns about missing life milestones due to her commitments in the gym.
After securing her seventh Olympic gold in the vault final on Saturday, Biles evaded questions about whether it marked her final competitive appearance. Although she announced her retirement from performing the Yurchenko double pike vault, she didn’t discount the possibility of competing at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
“Never say never,” Biles said. “The next Olympics are at home. So you just never know. I am getting really old.”
How many times has Simone Biles been to the Olympics?
The 2024 Paris Games mark Biles’ third Olympic appearance. She debuted in Rio, winning four gold medals and a bronze. In Tokyo, she secured a silver in the team event and a bronze on the balance beam.
What happened to Simone Biles in Tokyo?
During the Tokyo Olympics, Biles withdrew from multiple events due to a condition known as “the twisties.” This condition causes a gymnast to lose spatial awareness, posing significant risks at the speeds required for Olympic routines.
The twisties are particularly dangerous for Olympic-level gymnasts, potentially leading to severe injuries if an athlete missteps or mistimes a movement.
