PARIS, France — Excitement builds as Sundays of the 2024 Olympics promise key events. Track, gymnastics, and swimming hold center stage.

Suni Lee returns to the uneven bars three years after her bronze in Tokyo. She competes at 3:40 p.m. CEST/9:40 a.m. EDT, seeking to add another medal to her collection.

In the 100-meter dash, reigning world champion Noah Lyles aims to be the first American winner since 2004. Semifinals start at 8:05 p.m. CEST/2:05 p.m. EDT; the final follows at 9:50 CEST/3:50 EDT. Fellow American Kenny Bednarek and Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson join him as top contenders.

Track and field fans should also watch for the women’s high jump and men’s hammer throw events.

The swimming program concludes with critical events, including the men’s and women’s 4×100-meter medley relays. American Gretchen Walsh eyes her third medal in the women’s 50-meter freestyle final at 6:30 CEST/12:30 EDT. Walsh has already clinched silver in the 100-meter butterfly and the 4×100-meter freestyle relay. At 7:10 p.m. CEST/1:10 EDT, the relay finals wrap up the swimming events.

Also worth noting is Ireland’s Daniel Wiffen racing in the men’s 1,500-meter freestyle, hoping to add to his 800-meter gold.

US women’s basketball team faces Germany. The U.S. women’s basketball team seeks its 58th consecutive Olympic win. With already securing a spot in the quarterfinals, the game against Germany tips off at 5:15 p.m. CEST/11:15 a.m. EDT.
