Social media compares VP pick process to that of the 'rose ceremony' on the Bachelorette, Mamma Mia and more

From wondering if Harris will “soft launch” her VP pick on Insta to drawing parallels to “Mamma Mia,” the internet is making the most of the anticipation.

PHOENIX — The process of selecting a Vice Presidential candidate is underway. Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is narrowing her choices from six potential candidates this weekend. The decision is expected to be announced on Monday.

Meanwhile, social media users are humorously speculating about the selection process.

Some users on “X,” formerly known as Twitter, have made entertaining comparisons of the VP selection to various shows and movies.

Choosing a running mate is like… “The Bachelorette.”

Oh my god… she’s doing a rose ceremony https://t.co/6T4poPcv1o

I think it would be super fun if the pick for the Vice President would be done via a Rose Ceremony like on the Bachelorette. pic.twitter.com/Ew0K5F3LMu

I never have watched the Bachelor or the Bachelorette.

But I think I can relate.

Who is she gonna give the rose to?

My fav is Pete, but I’m okay with any of these gents!

Watching all the VP contenders battle it out like Kamala is the Bachelorette of politics. Stay stingy with that last rose, keep them grafting as long as possible – they’re adorable.

Am I cancelled if I say it’s giving Bachelorette vibes and I’m here for it !? pic.twitter.com/TXYEeDKwHL

Choosing a running mate is like… “Mamma Mia”

what if it’s like Mamma Mia and all 3 of them show up to the rally thinking they’re gonna be announced as VP https://t.co/CaI1GlQHyQ

Can you soft launch a VP pick?

It would be sooo fun if Kamala started soft launching her VP pick on insta stories with like a hand on the table at lunch

Sorry, I can’t, I might be the Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee

psa: this is the only weekend in which it is acceptable to bail last-minute on planned social events merely by vaguely insinuating that you might be the democratic vice presidential nominee

While we wait…

Kamala should announce what day she’s going share who her VP is so that the media talks about it, and her, 24/7 till debut time and then she drops the choice like a Beyonce album.

Harris could do the funniest thing ever and run her final selection of VP like a version of the apprentice selecting the winner.

(She should not do this, but it would be funny)

Kamala Harris should pick _________ as her VP.
