Havasu fire crew responds to possible unresponsive juvenile on Friday

The Lake Havasu City Fire Department swiftly responded to a critical call concerning a potentially unresponsive juvenile on Friday morning.

A fire crew was dispatched shortly after 11 a.m. to the 1100 block of McCulloch Boulevard North.

Upon arrival, the team found the juvenile “alert and oriented,” according to LHCFD Fire Chief Peter Pilafas.

Chief Pilafas reported that medical care was declined by the juvenile’s parents present at the scene.

“While the call suggested an emergency, the individual was found to be responsive and coherent upon our arrival,” Pilafas stated.

Pilafas emphasized that refusal of care implies the person is considered well enough to proceed without further medical intervention.
