Five Bold Moves to Transform South Bridge

A new express oil change service is set to launch in Maricopa, Arizona, marking a significant addition to one of the area’s rapidly developing corners.

On June 20, Florida-based Atwell Group filed a pre-application to establish a Take 5 Express Oil Change at the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue. This site is part of the burgeoning South Bridge area, gaining attention from notable auto and retail brands.

The planned facility will occupy a ½-acre plot and is part of the “7 Eleven Improvement Project,” which includes the proposed construction of a 7-Eleven convenience store and a Super Star Car Wash at the same location.

According to Atwell’s submission, the proposed Take 5 facility will feature a 1,345-square-foot building with two service bays. It will allow drivers to remain in their vehicles during oil changes, consistent with the brand’s customer-focused approach.

As of now, there is no specified timeline for approval or construction. The closest existing Take 5 locations are approximately half an hour’s drive away in Chandler and Casa Grande.

In related developments, another proposal submitted just one day earlier seeks to establish a Christian Brothers Automotive repair center at the intersection of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Stonegate Road, located 1½ miles to the southeast.
