Homeland Security Swarms Tempe Home in Dramatic Raid

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tensions escalated in Tempe today as local residents gathered to protest outside a home where agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) were conducting an operation. The scene unfolded near Kyrene and Baseline roads, drawing attention on social media.
Video footage obtained by 12News shows agents using an armored vehicle to forcibly remove the garage door of a residence. Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman exit the house under the agents’ orders before being handcuffed and taken away.
While Tempe Police confirmed that HSI was active in the area, specific details about the nature of the investigation were not disclosed. Authorities refrained from confirming any arrests.
A small group of protesters, alerted by social media, voiced their concerns regarding the operation. “I saw that they broke into the garage and forced themselves in,” one protester stated, expressing fear over the situation. “We’re here making sure this gets recorded, because that’s not right.”
Police requested that protesters leave the area following complaints from the homeowners’ association regarding the gathering on private property.
In response to inquiries, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a statement emphasizing their daily commitment to public safety through the apprehension of individuals violating immigration laws. However, ICE did not confirm whether any arrests took place at the scene.
