Driver in Critical Condition Following Sole Collision with Wall off JWP

A driver was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on John Wayne Parkway today at approximately 2:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes near Cobblestone Farms Drive, confirmed a spokesperson from the Maricopa Police Department.

The vehicle, a gray Toyota Highlander, veered off the road and struck a brick wall on the west side. The collision resulted in substantial damage to both the front and driver’s side of the SUV, leaving the rear hatch open.

Emergency crews responded rapidly to the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital; however, details regarding the severity of their injuries have not been disclosed.
