Hamadeh Demands DOJ Probe into Runbeck Election Services and Maricopa County

By Matthew Holloway |
Arizona Congressman Abe Hamadeh (AZ-08) has formally requested an investigation into alleged breaches of election security protocols during the 2024 General Election. This inquiry aims to address concerns about the integrity of the electoral process in Arizona.
In a letter directed to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, Hamadeh highlighted serious allegations regarding the handling of ballots by Runbeck Election Services. Reports suggest that blank ballots from several states were improperly mixed with returned voted mail ballots in a warehouse, raising concerns about potential tampering.
Hamadeh expressed alarm over the situation, stating, “The commingling of blank ballots with live ballots poses a significant risk to the accuracy and fairness of election results.” He emphasized the need for public confidence in the electoral process, asserting that any mishandling merits thorough investigation.
He outlined specific areas for the Department of Justice to investigate:
- Analyze the circumstances surrounding the mixing of blank and voted ballots in the Runbeck facility.
- Review security measures in place to prevent such incidents and assess their enforcement.
- Evaluate the potential impact on the accuracy of election results in Maricopa County and other affected regions.
- Identify any additional factors that could undermine the integrity of the 2024 elections.
Hamadeh’s concerns coincide with recent announcements from FBI Director Kash Patel regarding potential interference by foreign actors in the 2020 U.S. elections. Patel revealed documents alleging that the Chinese Communist Party manufactured fake U.S. driver’s licenses as part of efforts to facilitate fraudulent mail-in ballots.
Patel stated, “These include allegations of plants from the CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States.” He mentioned that these findings, while serious, were previously withheld from public knowledge.
Following his request for an investigation, Hamadeh commented on systematic flaws within Arizona’s electoral processes, suggesting a pattern of security breakdowns and potential manipulation. He concluded by urging the Department of Justice to act promptly to investigate these allegations and recommend measures to restore election integrity.
