Anti-ICE Protests Scheduled for Saturday Raise Alarm Bells

Arizonans are preparing for what one commentator has dubbed “Scottsdale Riots Round 2,” as the “No Kings Rally” is set for Saturday at the intersection of Camelback and Scottsdale Roads.
The online commentator, known as “₿ased male” and a Scottsdale resident, urged locals to steer clear of Fashion Square and monitor the actions of Shea Najafi, the organizer linked to Scottsdale Women Rising and Civics 101 Happy Hour.
Kari Lake, Senior Advisor for U.S. Agency for Global Media, remarked on social media, suggesting this rally pulls from a familiar playbook.
The gathering is organized by the “50501 national movement,” previously involved in a failed attempt to access the Arizona Capitol in February. The group claims President Donald Trump is a “traitor” and has been critical of his policies, calling for the American populace to help “remove the regime.” Despite their assertions, recent polling shows over half of Americans approve of Trump’s immigration stance.
₿ased male shared a screenshot forecasting a demonstration route, hinting at a gathering at Tatum Blvd. and Bell Rd.
Research from DataRepublican indicated that funding for the No Kings Rally comes from multiple radical leftist entities, including George Soros’ Tides Center and various advocacy groups, tracing back to the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs and the National Endowment for Democracy.
In a preemptive statement regarding the rally, Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky affirmed the citizens’ right to assemble but stressed that the city would not permit violence or disorderly conduct. Public safety is a priority, and she reassured the community of the Scottsdale Police Department’s preparedness.
On Wednesday, a similar protest in Tucson escalated into violence, resulting in the arrests of three individuals for various charges including Unlawful Assembly and Resisting Arrest.
According to the organization’s website, multiple “No Kings” rallies are planned across Tucson, with further demonstrations appearing in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, and other locales in the Valley of the Sun.
