Firefighters Wage Battle Against Raging Wildfire Near Burns Road and Colorado River
The Rio Vista Fire, a wildfire of significant concern, was first reported on Tuesday, July 30, at around 8 p.m. According to information from the Watch Duty website, the fire had continued to burn as of Wednesday afternoon, consuming 84 acres.
A map by Watch Duty illustrates that the fire is primarily located north of Burns Road within the Colorado River Indian Reservation. The fire spans from Little Road on the north to Gould Road on the south, while its eastern boundary is marked by 13th Avenue and its western boundary by Levee Road and the Colorado River.
As of now, Watch Duty has provided no details regarding the containment status of the Rio Vista Fire.
