Sedona Symphony names William White artistic director

During its annual donor appreciation reception on May 22, the Sedona Symphony announced the appointment of William C. White as the new artistic director and conductor for the 2025-26 season.

White succeeds Janna Hymes, who concluded a successful two-year tenure marked by 10 critically acclaimed performances. At the reception, White revealed the dates and themes for the upcoming season.

“It is with bittersweet feelings that we say goodbye to Janna and welcome Will,” Symphony Board President Margaret Davis stated. “Janna has transformed our orchestra over the past two years, and we will deeply miss her. At the same time, we are thrilled to have Will join us. He will carry our vision forward with creativity and energy.”

Describing Sedona Symphony as a beacon of community artistry, White expressed excitement at the opportunity. “It’s an honor to begin work as the Symphony’s next artistic director. Sedona is a special place and a source of inspiration for music-making. The enthusiasm in the community reflects the orchestra’s recent growth.”
