Man hit, killed by vehicle in west Phoenix


PHOENIX — A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in west Phoenix early this morning, according to local authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department reported the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road. Upon arrival, officers found the man lying on the road, while a vehicle remained stopped nearby.

Emergency crews transported the man to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

According to police, the driver remained at the scene of the accident and displayed no signs of impairment.
