Texas Teen on Life Support Dies Following Neighborhood Brawl

Fifteen-year-old Jazmin Calderon tragically passed away on Sunday, following severe injuries incurred during a neighborhood altercation in Midland. The incident, which occurred on May 20, is currently under investigation by the Midland Police Department.

According to family reports, Jazmin had been on life support after suffering significant head trauma and pelvic injuries. She was initially transported to Midland Memorial Hospital before being moved to a facility in Lubbock for further treatment.

In the aftermath of the incident, her mother, Janelle Calderon, expressed her grief: “No mother should ever see their child like that. It doesn’t matter how big or small — no one should go through this.”

Footage reportedly captured the moment Jazmin collapsed behind a truck during the altercation on Weatherford Street. This has raised concerns and questions within the community.
