Out on ‘Bale’: Hidden Valley Man Charged with Grand Theft of Tractor

William Nolan Jr., 50, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a neighbor’s tractor in Hidden Valley, according to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 8, deputies responded to a report from a 78-year-old woman on Barnes Road, who stated her tractor had been missing since April 19. Initially, she suspected her mechanic had taken it.
During a meeting of the Arizona Republican Assembly’s Northwest Pinal County Chapter, Sheriff Ross Teeple explained, “They found out the mechanic didn’t have the tractor, so that’s when they reported it stolen.”
A friend of the woman contacted PCSO on May 19, informing them that someone was attempting to sell the missing tractor on Craigslist in Casa Grande. This seller, who had traded a box truck for the tractor, revealed that William Nolan Jr. was his partner in the transaction.
Deputies visited Nolan’s residence, where his father reportedly confessed that Nolan had stolen the tractor. Nolan was subsequently arrested and booked into the Pinal County jail.
Court records indicate Nolan is facing felony charges for burglary and trafficking stolen property. He could face a presumptive sentence of seven and a half years in prison if convicted but is currently out on bail.
