SURPRISE, Ariz. — In a surprising turn of events, a vehicle was discovered in a canal on Saturday morning. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there was no one inside the vehicle.

According to reports, ADOT cameras captured a significant presence of first responders at the scene. Crews initially responded to concerns that someone might be trapped within the vehicle. However, it was quickly determined that the vehicle was unoccupied.

The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority later reached out to the vehicle’s owner and confirmed that the driver was safe.

Emergency responders, including fire trucks and police units, converged near 163rd and Grand Avenues, close to Loop 303, to address the situation.

This incident raised immediate concerns among local authorities and residents alike, highlighting the community’s vigilance in ensuring public safety.
