Town Clerk Earns Spot on 2025 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll

In the realm of local governance, the role of the Town Clerk is indispensable. Teresa Riza, the Town Clerk of Cave Creek, Arizona, exemplifies this commitment through her diverse responsibilities. From maintaining official documentation and drafting bylaws for the Town Council to recording meeting minutes and handling Freedom of Information Act requests, Riza ensures efficient operations behind the scenes. Her exemplary service has earned her a spot on the 2025 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll, one of seven Arizona municipal clerks to receive this distinction.
Since joining the Town of Cave Creek in 2007, Riza has taken on multiple roles, currently serving as both Town Clerk and Deputy Town Manager. Her extensive experience contributes significantly to the local government’s effectiveness and transparency.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Municipal Clerks Honor Roll, celebrated during Municipal Clerks Week from May 4-10. Over 300 nominations from 33 states highlight the dedication and hard work put forth by clerks across the nation.
