Tragedy Strikes as Toddler Loses Life After Valley Pool Incident
A 3-year-old boy was found unconscious and not breathing in a backyard pool, according to Phoenix fire officials.
PHOENIX — A tragic incident led to the death of a 3-year-old boy who was discovered in an unresponsive state in a Valley pool, Phoenix fire authorities reported.
Emergency services were alerted to a home near Cactus Road and 64th Street on Tuesday morning following the discovery of the child.
CPR was performed on the boy before the fire department arrived. It remains unclear how long the child was in the water, officials stated.
The boy was transported to the hospital in a condition described as “extremely critical,” where he was later pronounced dead.
Phoenix Police will continue the investigation, according to Phoenix Fire Department Captain Todd Keller.
