Man hospitalized with ‘serious injuries’ in fiery MCG crash

Traffic on the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway came to a halt following a vehicle fire tonight. The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. when a car collided with a light pole near White and Parker Road.

Witnesses quickly intervened, extracting the adult male driver just moments before the vehicle became engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Maricopa swiftly arrived and extinguished the fire, but not before significant delays in traffic ensued. The roadway remained impacted until 10 p.m.

A spokesperson for public safety confirmed that the driver was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No further updates have been provided at this time. Stay tuned for more details as the story develops.
