A truck fire on State Route 238 ignited a brush fire early this morning, sparking a swift response from local and state fire crews. The incident occurred at 9:22 a.m., near 91st Avenue, roughly 10 miles west of the Maricopa-Mobile city line.

According to authorities, the blaze quickly escalated from the vehicle to surrounding brush, necessitating support from multiple agencies to control the fire. State troopers identified the burning vehicle as a trash truck and noted that the emergency scene was situated about a mile from the Butterfield Station Landfill. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, as stated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The cause of the initial truck fire is currently under investigation. Remarkably, this incident follows another garbage truck fire reported in Sorrento just yesterday. In addition, authorities are monitoring a separate brush fire closer to city limits, believed to have originated on private property.
